Join the Glass Alliance of Northern California for a very special opportunity - the inaugural Nor Cal Glass Festival! This exhibition and sale will be held at Piedmont Center for the Arts, exclusively for our GLANC Member Artists. We have been granted the a unique chance to collaborate with a major art institution in the Bay Area, to raise the visibility of the glass arts, while educating and sharing glass with the broader community!
The Glass Alliance realizes the difficulties artists face, especially coming out of the pandemic. We are sponsoring a show at Piedmont Center for the Arts, so artists have a chance to exhibit and sell their artwork with virtually no upfront costs and no booth fees!
DETAILS AND DATES:
April 30: Submit $15 to hold your place in the art show. Deposits can be mailed to:
- Two photos (either 2 artwork photos or 1 artwork & 1 studio shot of you working) - a VERY brief artist statement
SCHEDULE:
Friday June 21: 12pm - 6pm set up of artwork in your designated space Saturday June 22: arrive at 9:45am ; show is from 10am - 5pm Sunday June 23: arrive 9:45am ; show is from 10am - 5pm Take Down June 23 after show ends - no exceptions
MORE INFORMATION:
This two day event will be held at Piedmont Center for the Arts in the East Bay. Each artist will be responsible for set up and take down of their table, and for running their sales. GLANC is covering the rental of the facility for this event and there is no application fee, making this a very special opportunity for GLANC member artists. There is no upfront cost other than the $15 refundable deposit, so unlike other shows, there is no financial risk to participate!
At the close of the show, therewill be a very low 20% commission taken on sales to raise funds for the GLANC Scholarship Fund, which supports the education of youth in the glass arts. The artist retains 80% of sales.
MORE DETAILS
The space available to each artist will depend on how many participants we have in this show. Space will be divided equally amongst the artists. Once you receive the information regarding your allotted space, plan to bring a table and/or pedestals to showcase your artwork and you will need to process your own sales.
We are asking all participating artists to help with promotion, by sending out an email notice to their lists. Piedmont Center for the Arts will be assisting us with promotion as well, by doing email blasts and community newspaper coverage of the event.

This is an exclusive opportunity for GLANC member artists only! Any GLANC member artist can participate!
