About Us

The Glass Alliance of Northern California is a non-profit organization whose mission is to further the development and appreciation of art made from glass.

What does GLANC do?

  • Informs collectors, critics, curators, artists, students and the general public by encouraging and supporting glass art events
  • Produces a quarterly newsletter and maintains a website with a glass events calendar
  • Provides programs including regular visits to artist studios, tours of galleries, viewing of private collections, and attending lectures and demonstrations by master artists
  • Brings together artists, glass enthusiasts and collectors
  • Supports local museums, galleries, and glass schools
  • Supports local artists ranging from well-known masters to emerging new talents
  • Sponsors annual trips to exciting glass destinations
  • Provides scholarships for emerging Northern California artsts
